The Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars opened up their season last night in Dallas and Boston skated away with a 2-1 win.
Despite some interesting game play from both sides, it's a scary incident that resulted in injury that's taken up all the headlines.
It's not just the play that people are talking but also Jack Edwards' comments after the play.
Defenseman Roman Polak took an awkward crash into the boards during the second period where he fell into the boards with his right shoulder, immediately followed by his head. Polak had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher and was motionless while he laid face-down on the ice.
Edwards said after the play that Polak "Has a little bit of bad hockey karma,".
The NESN play by play man is receiving a lot of heat for his comments.
