The Laval Rocket hosted the Providence Bruins last night in the second of back to back games.
Just like the NHL, the AHL rivalry between the Laval Rocket and Boston Bruins' AHL affiliate Providence is pretty intense.
Unfortunately many believe Rocket forward Michael McCarron laid out a dangerous head shot on Bruins' forward Brendan Gaunce.
It was an open ice hit and Gaunce wasn't anywhere close to the puck.
The hit might be considered suspension worthy and Gaunce had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher and was also bleeding.
McCarron was not assessed any penalty on the play.
WARNING–– graphic content: Brendan Gaunce receives a bad hit from McCarron and goes down hard. Gaunce was bleeding profusely, tried to get up on his own strength and legitimately couldn't. He seemed to be heaving into the towel. No penalty, but blatant interference. #NHLBruins pic.twitter.com/ZcpCdSNBIR
