The was a scary sequence of events yesterday for the Montreal Canadiens and their fans.
First Carey Price went down during practice after taking a Brendan Gallagher shot up high, after hitting the ice crouched over, Price was able to shake it off and get back into the grove of practice.
However red flags were raised when the Canadiens called up goalie Charlie Lindgren later on that afternoon.
Things look fine in Habs' land though as Price was back at practice on Tuesday in anticipation of the teams big game tonight against the Detroit Red Wings.
Speculation is that Lindgren was called up so Price can be less active during the upcoming practice sessions and save energy for very important games coming up.
Carey Price at morning skate. You have to expect that Price won’t practice that much between now and the end of the season. That’s one reason why Charlie Lindgren was recall. Better to have two goalies on the ice for practices @CanadiensMTL
