The Montreal Canadiens and general manager Marc Bergevin pulled off a minor deal earlier today.
While it was interesting, everybody wants to see Bergevin pull off something major in the next couple of days.
One of the names that's been mentioned a lot is forward Tomas Tatar.
The forward doesn't have any trade protection and is signed through the 2020-21 season.
Only a couple of days away from the deadline, Tatar was asked about all the trade rumours.
"It's hard not to hear it but at the same time what am I gonna do.
It's not in my hands and I'm just trying to focus on myself and focus on the team and do whats in my power to be successful every night.
In these decisions you kind of just wait to see whats going to happen and I'm just trying to do my thing.
I really like it here but it's not my decision and I don't really know what's going to happen but obviously the heart is here and I want to help as much as I can to build something big here."
GAME DAY: Tatar says he wants to stay in Montreal and would love to help 'build something bigger' https://t.co/CNwsZRlj54 #TSNHockey #TradeCentre pic.twitter.com/5gVcJISfDs
