The 2018-19 NHL season officially comes to an end tonight as the Boston Bruins host the St. Louis Blues for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
While those two teams duke it out, the other 29 teams are focused on next Friday night as the 2019 NHL Draft gets underway opening the 2019 offseason.
Last year the Habs' got a bit of a boost through the draft lottery and moved up to the #3 overall pick.
While everybody made their predictions, former NHL scout Grant McCagg of recrutes.ca was the only prospect analyst who had Jesperi Kotkaniemi in the top 5 and correctly predicted the Habs' would select him.
This year the Habs' weren't as luck in the draft lottery and will make their expected pick at the #15 spot.

McCagg has the Canadiens selecting 18 year old Finnish product Lassi Thomson.
What makes the prediction interesting is that Thomson is a righty, however he's been labelled by some as having the best "raw skills" of any defenseman in the draft.
He came over from Finland last year and played for the very low scoring Kelowna Rockets where he was still able to register 17 goals and 24 assists.
He's been mentioned as having above average skating skills and speed while being one of the top puck handlers in the draft.
Here's a look at his stats:
