There's been lots of interesting decisions made recently in the NHL and not everything has been unanimous.

It's a unique situation across the world so of course not everybody is on the same page.

According to reports, there might be another controversial decision that definitely will upset some general managers.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reports that the NHL will announce that the salary cap will likely stay flat for the next three seasons.

That means a salary cap of $81.5million for the next couple of years with a possible increase of $1million in 2022-23.

Friedman says that the NHL and NHLPA will announce an extension of the CBA and the salary cap details were added.

"As part of the agreement, the salary cap will be kept close to the current $81.5 million for the next three seasons,"
