Former Montreal Canadiens goalie coach Stephane Waite has been pretty vocal since being fired by the team midseason.
He's been doing plenty of appearances on TV and radio and hasn't held back always willing to speak openly and honestly.
During a recent appearance on 98.5FM Sports, Waite was asked and spoke about some of the moves made by the Canadiens this summer including choosing to let Phillip Danault walk.
It was a decision he agreed with.
When speaking about Danault, Waite said that the former Habs forward "sees himself better than he actually is".
Danault had received an offer from the Canadiens before the season started but wanted a bigger deal and got it this summer during free agency from the Los Angeles Kings.
Do you think Danault will live up to his deal that sees him getting paid $5.5million per season through the 2026-27 season?
