It was an offseason of musical chairs where we saw lots of movement.
One move that definitely raised some eyebrows and turned heads for Montreal Canadiens' fans was Alex Galchenyuk signing with the Ottawa Senators.
After bouncing around with multiple teams after being traded from Montreal, Ottawa seemed like a good fit for Galchenyuk with a weaker lineup and an opportunity for minutes and maybe finally find his groove.
However it sounds like the same story for Galchenyuk.
With the Ottawa Senators opening up their season tonight, the Senators announced that Galchenyuk will be a healthy scratch.
The 26 year old wasn't able to beat out Nick Paul or Chris Tierney for a spot on the third line.
Colin White will be a healthy scratch for the Ottawa Senators in the season opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs in favour of Josh Norris, Derek Stepan, Chris Tierney & Artem Anisimov. White makes $4.75 million. Alex Galchenyck and Mike Reilly will also be healthy scratches. pic.twitter.com/9HN43fu3eC
