The Montreal Canadiens took a tough loss last night during the opening game of their series against the Philadelphia Flyers.
It was an extremely tight game that Montreal could have walked away with but just couldn't finish or get the bounces they needed.
One player who found himself on the stat sheet once again was captain Shea Weber who scored the Canadiens' only goal in the 2-1 loss.
With that goal, Weber now finds himself in the Canadiens' franchise record books regarding defenseman in the playoffs.
"Shea Weber is the second defenseman in Canadiens history with a goal streak of 3+ games in a postseason, joining Guy Lapointe in 1973 (4-1—5 in 3 GP)"
Hopefully that streak continues as the Canadiens try and bounce back with a Game 2 win on Friday.
