Most NHL players will continually tell you that they ignore trade chatter and speculation, however sometimes it's hard to ignore.
One player who's been mentioned in plenty of trade talk this summer has been Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen.
With the trade chatter continuing to build up, it seems Ristolainen just wants out.
The Buffalo News came across an interview that Ristolainen did with MTV Sports in Europe and it contains some translated quotes from Ristolainen that imply he's asked for a trade.
“I cannot say anything other than the fact that on the 12th of September, I will be at one of the NHL team’s training camps"
Much like how Ryan O'Reilly implied his time in Buffalo killed his love for hockey for awhile, it seems RIstolainen feels the same way.
“I haven’t been able to help the team win,” Ristolainen said. “Recent seasons have been tough and I haven’t been able to enjoy hockey.”
The 24 year old has three years left on his contract which carries a cap hit of $5.4million per season.
During the summer the Sabres added Colin Miller and Henri Jokiharju to the right side of their blueline which already features Zach Bogosian, Brandon Montour, Casey Nelson and Ristolainen.
