The Montreal Canadiens were back on the ice last night for the first time in 12 days as they faced off against the Boston Bruins.

It didn't start pretty as the Canadiens fell behind 3-0 early and it's not shocking since they hadn't played in two weeks.

They gained a bit of life but far from enough to get anything going eventually dropping the game 5-1.

Michael Pezzetta was the team's only goal scorer and while he's shown flashes, with the team slowly getting healthy his roster spot is far from guaranteed.

He was asked about possibly being on the roster bubble after the game.

“I’m battling to be a part of the Montreal Canadiens every single day. I want to be on this team. I want to be in the NHL. There are no easy days for me. There's obviously new guys coming in, guys coming back from injury… I’m trying to do everything I can.”

The 23 year old has registered 4 points in 22 games so far this season along with 37 penalty minutes.

Do you think Pezzetta has earned a roster spot for the rest of season?
