The Montreal Canadiens are enjoying some well deserved time off before they're back to work at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard.
During today's presser, head coach Dominique Ducharme was asked about forward Jake Evans' status after the brutal hit he received from Mark Scheifele during the final minutes of Game 1 against the Winnipeg Jets.
Ducharme told reporters that Evans is doing better, has been around the team and working out while resuming off ice activities.
A big first step for Evans who can start skating this week if he doesn't show anymore signs while in the concussion protocol.
Evans was easily playing the best hockey of his young career before Evans took him out so it would be absolutely great news if he was around for the next round against either the Vegans Golden Knights or Colorado Avalanche.
