Montreal Canadiens defenseman David Schlemko has struggled to find his game and health since being brought over in a trade.
Schlemko was acquired by the Canadiens for a 5th round pick during the Vegas Golden Knights expansion draft and has been a bit of disaster since.
The 31 year old only played 37 games with the Canadiens last year due to injury and has been on the injury report for the majority of this season as well.
Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin had enough and placed him on waivers just a couple of weeks ago and sent him to the Laval Rocket.
To nobody's surprise, Schlemko is now injured in Laval and won't play on Wednesday night and is listed as day to day.
Schlemko has one point in two games for the Rocket.
David Schlemko s’est blessé samedi à Winnipeg et ne jouera pas ce soir. « Une blessure mineure, au jour le jour », nous dit Joël Bouchard. Karl Alzner prendra sa place dans la formation. @RocketLaval #Rocket #Habs #CH
