The relationship between the Montreal Canadiens and Phillip Danault has come to and end and general manager Marc Bergevin will need to look for a replacement.

While Jake Evans definitely looks like he can handle some extra work load, the Canadiens will need an older veteran with Nick Suzuki and Jesperi Kotkaniemi in the lineup.

According to TVA Sports, the Canadiens are targeting Arizona Coyotes center Christian Dvorak.

The 25 year old carries a $4.45million AAV through the 2024-25 season and can put the puck in the net a bit more than Danault.

Dvorak registered 17 goals in 56 games this past season and 18 goals in 70 games last season as well as winning over 50% of his faceoffs for the last 4 years and a total of a 51.5% win percentage in his career.

Unfortunately TVA Sports reports that The Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators, Vegas Golden Knights and Pittsburgh Penguins are also in the mix for Dvorak.

Do you think he'd be a perfect fit for the Habs?
