It was an interesting time for Montreal Canadiens' fans as the infamous Kostistyn brothers passed through town.
Lots of potential was unfortunately derailed because of off ice activities and work ethic on the ice.
One of the highlights from their time in Montreal though was when they started their rivalry with former Hab and then Leaf forward Mikhail Grabovski.
It was really intense at times and what makes things even more interesting is that Mikhail ended up being both brothers coach last year in the KHL.
After some concussion issues Grabovski was forced to retire from playing and ended up joining Dynamo Minsk as an assistant coach where both Sergei and Andrei play.
It doesn't sound like that relationship will be lasting very long as Grabovski gave his impressions on Andrei after coaching him.
"It started off well," said Grabovski, about his relationship with Andrei. He's a good player and he’s fun to be around. Now, as a coach, I have a different perspective on him and why he didn't really succeed in the National Hockey League. Now I understand. He is a special and talented player, but he has weaknesses.
“As a coach, you’re trying to learn how to deal with this kind of player, but it didn’t really work. So he’s going to go with a new team now. “
Ouch, sounds like Andrei's time with Dynamo is coming to an end.
