The Montreal Canadiens took it to the Winnipeg Jets last night and the Jets weren't happy.
Coming off their thrilling 7 game win against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Canadiens jumped out to a 2-0 lead early and the frustration would show throughout the game from the Jets.
The Jets eventually put together a bit of a comeback and pushed during the final minutes of the game.
However Canadiens' forward Jake Evans put the game away with an empty netter seconds before Jets' forward Mark Scheifele came barreling in and destroyed him.
Evans was motionless for a couple of minutes before having to leave the game on a stretcher.
After the game, Canadiens' defenseman Joel Edmundson spoke to the media and had a clear message for the NHL and Scheifele.
"It was a dirty hit, but the league's going to take care of it. If he gets back in the series, we're going to make life miserable for him."
What do you think of Edmundson's comments?
