Just about a week after the Montreal Canadiens' wrapped up their season and cleaned out their lockers, it was the Laval Rocket's turn on Monday.

Once again the Canadiens' AHL team failed to make the playoffs.

While it's not as disappointing as in years past, it would still be nice enough to see them make it.

This year the team had a new coach and a lot of new players so it's kind of understandable.

Rocket coach Joel Bouchard spoke to the media on Monday and made a statement that was honest, but maybe not one everybody wanted to hear.

Bouchard said that his players still aren't good enough for the NHL. He added that they might be good enough in the future, and he's excited to see their progression.

He continued to re-iterate that they're simply not ready for the NHL yet.
