Chatter continues to build that the Montreal Canadiens will be looking to make a move or two during the summer to strengthen their blue line.
Now we're hearing that the New York Islanders have placed two defenseman on the trade block, one which has been heavily linked to the Canadiens' before.
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the Islanders have placed defensemen Nick Leddy and Thomas Hickey on the trade block.
Leddy has been heavily linked to the Canadiens over the last couple of years as a good fit to play beside Shea Weber. He's got three years left on his contract which carries a $5.5million cap hit per season.
Hickey also plays on the leftside and has three years remaining on a deal that comes with a much lighter cap hit at $2.5million a season.
Leddy had his worst offensive season since the 2014-15 season while Hickey had problems drawing into the lineup this year because of his play and injuries and only played 40 games.
Do you think either of them could help the Habs'?
