The Montreal Canadiens prospect pipeline continues to make headlines.
Ryan Poehling made an incredible NHL debut, Jesperi Kotkaniemi did a great job at only 18 years old, Nick Suzuki dominated during his final OHL year and Cayden Primeau turned heads in the NCAA and World Juniors.
Primeau is the latest to be given some hardware as he's been named the Mike Richter Award winner as the NCAA’s most outstanding goaltender!
The 19 year old went 25-10-1 in his final season at Northeaster University and registered a 2.09 goals against average and .933 save percentage.
Primeau has signed his first pro contract and will join the Laval Rocket next season.
More to come.
Congratulations to Cayden Primeau, the 2019 @RichterAward winner as the NCAA’s most outstanding goaltender!#HowlinHuskies pic.twitter.com/WzwzSwFL30
