After the Montreal Canadiens suffered a tough loss to the Carolina Hurricanes last night, the Hurricanes social media team had some troll jobs locked and loaded to unleash.

One of them involved setting up a website which featured a gif of Sebastian Aho scrolling through his phone and nodding his head.

The website also featured Aho and Jesperi Kotkaniemi jersey shirts on sale for $20 by using the promo code "oui" and at the bottom of the website it read "2021 Bunch of Jerks - All Rights Reserved."

That site was down Friday morning and eventually it was revealed why.

Some Habs' fans hacked the site and changed things around.

The landing featured a generic rink with the words "Carolina Hurricanes suck" instead of the Aho image.

The bottom was also switched up to say "Just spreading the truth to a bunch of ... (it's copyrighted but you get it)."

Hurricanes vide president of marketing Mike Forman confirmed to ESPN that the site was hacked. While he was disappointed, he said the troll job was gaining even more attention for the Hurricanes because of the hack.

"Honestly, it's just gaining more traction because of it," Forman said.
