After months of speculation, the Montreal Canadiens finally made a trade with the Los Angeles Kings earlier this week as they landed Nate Thompson.

It wasn't the big impact player that many expected with the Canadiens having been linked to Jake Muzzin, Jeff Carter and Tyler Toffoli from the Kings going back to the summer.

According to Jimmy Murphy, the Canadiens might try and land another depth forward from the Kings before the deadline.

Murphy reports that both the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens have expressed interest in Kings forward Carl Hagelin.

Hagelin would definitely bring some speed to the Habs' lineup but he's been pretty ineffective this year with a combined two goals playing for Pittsburgh and Los Angeles.
