While some fans might wonder when he's going to save the Montreal Canadiens, owner Geoff Molson is literally saving lives off the ice.
Molson rescued a pilot this past weekend who crashed into Lake Massawippi on Saturday.
From the Canadiens statement:
“Molson was in his boat when the small aircraft crashed into the water at about 11:00am. He reached the downed pilot, who had managed to crawl out of the plane as it sank, helped him into his boat and took him to paramedics who had been called to the scene.”
The pilot is in his mid-60s only suffered minor injuries. Molson did not wish to give an interview this morning - the cause of the crash is unknown and being investigated by the TSBC."
WOW!!
Molson says he got to the man within seconds of his plane crashing. The man was floating in the lake, holding onto his pilot seat.https://t.co/entjTXQU9a
