The Montreal Canadiens and general manager Marc Bergevin took care of one of their own yesterday.
Brendan Gallagher was given a six year extension with an AAV of $6.5million.
Gallagher along with Carey Price have been two of the best homegrown stories in the Canadiens franchise over recent years as they've both been rewarded.
Gallagher took to social media after the contract signing to express his optimism with what Bergevin has done this offseason.
“I love what Berge has done this summer. We are going to be a very competitive team next season. The guys are excited”
Sounds like the team is pretty pumped up about the new Habs going into next season.
On n’aurait pas pu imaginer Gally ailleurs qu’à Montréal, nous non plus. We couldn't imagine you anywhere else either, @BGALLY17. #GoHabsGo pic.twitter.com/hSoE6b5eGU
