After a short well deserved break following their Stanley Cup Finals appearance, the Montreal Canadiens are right back at it tonight and open up their 2021-22 season.

The Canadiens start off the season tonight against one of their biggest rivals, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Head coach Dominique Ducharme has revealed his starting lineup for tonight's road game at the Scotiabank Arena.

Newcomer Adam Brooks who was claimed off waivers earlier this week got his first practice in with his new team today but won't play tonight against his old team.

The biggest question marks came on the fourth line and finally Ducharme has decided to go with a line that features Cedric Paquette, Mathieu Perreault and Artturi Lehkonen

On the blueline we'll see a powerhouse pairing of Ben Chiarot and David Savard on the second line while Alexander Romanov and Chris Wideman will make up the third pair.

Jake Allen will get the start between the pipes.
