The Montreal Canadiens hit the ice in Brossard today for the start of training camp and we got a sneak preview at what head coach Dominique Ducharme might send out during the regular season on the ice.

The good news of course was Jonathan Drouin was back on the ice with his teammates.

The bad news is that Mike Hoffman and Paul Byron will be sidelined for training camp after failing their physicals.

As for the lines, Ducharme looks like he's going to roll with Tyler Toffoli, Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield as his top option while Drouin skated with Christian Dvorak and Josh Anderson.

When it comes to the top six, keep in mind that along with Hoffman, Brendan Gallagher was also missing from the opening of camp due to family reasons.

Here's a look at some of the forward lines.

Toffoli-Suzuki-Caufield
Dauphin-Poehling-Lehkonen
Perreault-Paquette-Belzile

Drouin-Dvorak-Anderson

Harvey-Pinard/Evans/Armia
Mysak-Vejdemo-Pezzetta

On the blueline we saw a couple of youngsters get a huge opportunity as Kaiden Guhle lined up with David Savard and Mattias Norlinder paired up with Ben Chiarot.

Here's a look at some of the D pairings.

Romanov-Petry
Kulak-Faibrother
Ouellet-Goloubef

Guhle-Savard
Norlinder-Chiarot
Schueneman-Wideman

Carey Price is still rehabbing his knee so we'll mostly be looking at Jake Allen, Cayden Primeau and Michael McNiven over the coming days.

What do you think of Ducharme's lines so far?
