The Montreal Canadiens are currently preparing for Game 1 of their five game series against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Veteran forward Dale Weise looks like he's earned a spot for himself on the team's interesting fourth line.

Weise is currently skating with Jordan Weal on the other wing and Max Domi as his center, it was actually one of the better lines during the exhibition against Toronto.

Many wondered why Weise was even being given a serious chance since reports had him signing a contract for next year with the Swiss League.

Those reports have made their way to Weise and Weise says hold up, that's fake news.

“There is no agreement. I'm here and I'm focused on the playoffs. I am 100% aiming for a return to the National Hockey League next year, I want to play well in the playoffs and I want to sign a new contract with the Canadiens"

“This is fake news . People need to find things to talk about. I saw an article go by two weeks ago that said that [Michael] Frolik and I were going to Europe. It came out of nowhere. "

Hopefully this means we'll see Weise playing his heart out during the Canadiens' series against Pittsburgh, not that anybody has ever questioned Weise's desire to win with the Canadiens.
