Fans are hoping that the Montreal Canadiens and general manager Marc Bergevin make some big moves this summer.
We've heard some pretty big names attached to the Canadiens including Erik Karlsson and Matt Duchene.
However signing either of those would take a long term commitment that Bergevin isn't likely to make during his "reset".
That's why Kent Wilson of The Athletic suggest the Canadiens could become trade partners with the Calgary Flames after the free agency period.
The Flames are trying to trade one of Travis Hamonic or TJ Brodie as a salary dump and the Canadiens have the space to make it happen.
Brodie is a lefty who plays on the right side but could play on the left and carries a $4.65million cap hit while Hamonic plays with some grit and carries a $3.875million cap hit.
Do you think either of the two could help the Canadiens?
