The Montreal Canadiens held an optional practice this morning hoping to conserve their energy for tonight's game against the New Jersey Devils.

While the Canadiens seem to be focused on snapping their losing streak, it's full blown panic mode in the media and for Habs' fans.

It's a five game losing streak, a losing streak that eight of last year's playoff teams went through.

For tonight's game head coach Claude Julien confirmed that Carey Price will get the start as he'll look to bounce back from Tuesday's beating against the Boston Bruins.

Price will be hoping that his defense actually shows up tonight, especially Jeff Petry who was -4 and looked brutal against Boston.

When it comes to his skaters, Julien said he's not sure yet but will likely roll with the same lineup from yesterday's practice. If he does make any changes they won't be revealed until pregame warmups.

Based on that, here's tonight's projected lineup:

Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Lehkonen - Domi - Suzuki
Cousins - Kotkaniemi - Armia
Hudon - Thompson - Weal

Chiarot - Weber
Mete - Petry
Reilly - Fleury
