The Montreal Canadiens are currently riding a three game losing streak and will need to put it together because they won't have Jonathan Drouin back for awhile.
Drouin has easily been the Canadiens' best forward this season so it leaves a big hole in the lineup.
Sportsnet's Eric Engels took to Twitter to talk about the Canadiens pursuing Taylor Hall.
Engels believes that there's a strong possibility the Habs' go after Hall with their strong play, 12 picks in next year's draft, deep prospect pool and abundant cap space.
Hall will become UFA after the season and it's more than likely he'll chose to move on from the New Jersey Devils.
However it might not happen until closer to the trade deadline as general manager Marc Bergevin will want to find out if the team is ready for a serious playoff push or not.
The 6'1 205lb winger has 204 career goals in 582 games, but only two of those goals have come this year as he's been struggling on a very sad looking Devils team.
Would you like to see Bergevin go after Hall?
Elliotte doesn’t mention it, but speculation is bound to increase on the possibility Bergevin will look to rent pending UFA Taylor Hall. No intel on that right now, but given Habs good play and the fact that they’re armed with 12 picks and a strong prospect pool, you have to think
