It's been the talk of the hockey world ever since last night.

The Montreal Canadiens were beating the Winnipeg Jets during Game 1 of their second round playoff matchup.

With the clock running out and the Jets having pulled their goalie, Canadiens forward Jake Evans raced to secure a loose puck behind the Jets' net after a clear only to be met by a barraling Mark Scheifele who skated about 180 feet to take Evans head off.

Evans scored the goal but was destroyed by Scheifele.

The hit divided many, some people thought it deserved a massive suspension while others believe Evans just needed to keep his head up.

The NHL Department of Player Safety announced their decision after a hearing with Schiefele over the phone.

The NHL DoPS has ruled that Schiefele has been suspended 4 games.
