On Monday night the NHL held the second phase of the NHL Draft lottery. 

For Phase 2, we found out who won the #1 overall pick which had already been awarded to a losing Stanley Cup Qualifying team. 

With that qualifying round done, it left the Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, Minnesota Wild, Florida Panthers, Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators each had a 12.5% chance of landing that coveted #1 pick. 

QMJHL star Alexis Lafreniere is expected to be the hands down #1 pick overall and he just found where he's headed. 

Commissioner Gary Bettman pulled the Rangers' ball and the winners of the draft lottery.
