Defenseman Andrei Markov has made it clear this summer that his goal is to return to the NHL.
The 40 year old had Habs' fans in a frenzy when he said his dream was to play for the Canadiens again.
While the chances of Markov playing for the Habs are pretty slim, he might land an NHL job thanks to his latest decision.
Markov has hired agent Allan Walsh from the Octagon group.
Walsh and Octagon represent NHLers like Jonathan Drouin, Max Pacioretty, Vladimir Tarasenko, Mark Scheifele, Jonathan Huberdeau, Leon Draisaitl and more.
Eric Engels of Sportsnet suggests the New Jersey Devils as a perfect landing spot for Markov where he would find former teammate PK Subban.
Do you think Markov will land an NHL contract?
Proud to announce that defenseman Andrei Markov is now a client. He’s been intensively training in Florida this summer and is determined to play in the NHL this season. Welcome to the #OctagonFamily

Pure opinion here: I think the one team that could make the most sense for Andrei Markov and for the team would be the New Jersey Devils.— Eric Engels (@EricEngels) August 28, 2019
