The Montreal Canadiens and general manager Marc Bergevin announced his third contract of the day.
Bergevin has locked up defenseman Xavier Ouellett to a new contract.
The Laval Rocket captain enjoyed some success during the Playoff Bubble hockey run and earned himself a new two way deal.
Ouellett's new contract is for two years and will pay Ouellet $725,000 in the NHL and $425,000 in the AHL for the first year, and $750,000 and $425,000 respectively the following season. He has a guaranteed salary of $475k in 2021-22.
