The Montreal Canadiens and general manager Marc Bergevin confirmed the news this morning.
Forward Nick Suzuki has been locked in long term.
Bergevin confirmed that the team has signed Suzuki to a 8 year deal worth $63million.
Suzuki's new contract carries an AAV of $7.875million.
"We are very happy to secure Nick's services for the next eight seasons," said general manager Marc Bergevin.
