The Montreal Canadiens and general manager Marc Bergevin announced a contract extension on Wednesday.
The team has signed goalie Jake Allen to a two year contract extension.
Allen who was on the final year of his deal, has been locked up for another two years.
The new deal carries an AAV of $2.875million.
Carey Price now has the best backup he's had in years behind him and that goalie is locked up for a couple of years.
Also allows the Canadiens to expose Allen in the expansion draft.
