The Montreal Canadiens and general manager Marc Bergevin continue to work fast and furious to improve their team.
Bergevin was in on Wayne Simmonds immediately and according to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun offered more money than the Toronto Maple Leafs.
However Simmonds decided to head home and sign with his hometown Maple Leafs.
Now Bergevin will focus on Alexander Wennberg according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Wennberg was placed on waivers for buyout as the Blue Jackets were desperate for cap space.
The 6'2 200lb forward would fit right in on the fourth line and be able to bring another big body to the power play.
Would you like to see Wennberg in a Habs' uniform?
Hearing MON will be one of the teams looking into Alexander Wennberg -- once he is officially available
