Lots of action in the NHL on Friday.
Just an hour after the Minnesota Wild announced that they had fired head coach Bruce Boudreau, the Buffalo Sabres announced they've placed a defenseman on waivers.
Veteran defenseman Zach Bogosian has been placed on waivers.
The move comes just a couple of weeks after Bogosian had requested a trade out of Buffalo.
The 29 year old is in the final year of his contract which comes with a $5.142million cap hit.
