The Montreal Canadiens and general manager Marc Bergevin made a surprising move yesterday.

Forward Adam Brooks was placed on waivers by the Canadiens.

It wasn't surprising because of his play so to speak, but rather because of the amount of injuries the Canadiens continue to deal with.

While many were hoping Brooks would add some nice depth for the Laval Rocket, that won't be happening.

Brooks was claimed by the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday, a team who's dealing with their own injury problems.

The 25 year old forward registered an assist in four games with the Canadiens this season.

He was yelled at by Ben Chiarot after some mistakes on the ice which led to a Boston Bruins goal on Sunday, many believed Brooks time with the Canadiens was done after that.
