It didn't really come as a surprise last year when the Montreal Canadiens fired assistant coach JJ Daigneault.
The defense was struggling and his systems just didn't seem to be working.
While he bowed out of the NHL coaching gig world, JJ Daigneault landed a huge new gig in the QMJHL.
Daigneault has been hired as the Halifax Mooseheads 12th head coach in franchise history.
“I’m really grateful, happy and excited that Cam and Bobby chose me to be the next Head Coach of this storied franchise,” stated Daigneault.
Daigneault has six seasons as an assistant in Montreal under his belt along with stints with the St. Louis Blues and AHL San Antonio Rampage along with a long stint with Hartford/Connecticut of the AHL.
Congrats to JJ!
