With no surprise yesterday, a couple of Montreal Canadiens failed their physicals as expected.
The only surprise was Mike Hoffman as the team revealed that Hoffman actually suffered an injury skating at home before coming to camp.
Hoffman will miss training camp and head coach Dominique Ducharme said there's no guarantee he'll be ready for the first game.
Unfortunately it seems to be the same for Carey Price.
Price wasn't really expected to participate in training camp as he rehabs from offseason surgery however was supposed to be ready for the first game of the year.
Now that doesn't seem likely.
Canadiens' insider Renaud Lavoie reports that Price was supposed to be ready exactly one week before the season but now only time will tell if he's even ready to start the year.
It's a good thing they were able to keep Jake Allen around.
Carey Price was supposed to be ready one week before the start of the season but that won’t be the case anymore, I’m told. Goal now is to have him ready to start the season, but only time will tell. @CanadiensMTL
