It was an up and down couple of seasons for defenseman Jordie Benn in a Montreal Canadiens' uniform.

While he looked to be on head coach Claude Julien's bad side during the 2017-18 season, he kind of got things back on track during the 2018-19 season and ended up putting up a career high 22 points.

He was set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer and his agent hinted before July 1 that his client was going to be paid after hitting that career high.

While Benn might not have got the money he was hoping for, he decided to take advantage of free agency and head over to his hometown province of British Columbia and sign with the Vancouver Canucks.

The Athletic's Marc Dumont dug up a pretty intersting stat when doing some research regarding Benn.

Dumont points out that Jordie Benn had more 5 on 5 points last year than P.K. Subban, Drew Doughty, John Klingberg, Esa Lindell, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Shayne Gostisbehere, Kevin Shattenkirk, Samuel Girard and Torey Krug.

Quite the amazing list!

Of course in the end that stat means absolutely nothing as all those players are better overall.

Still pretty mind blowing.
