Since he is no longer with the Canadiens, Stéphane Waite is everywhere in the sports media. His great strength right now is to have connections within the Canadiens. He has personally known the players who are in Montreal and he can offer us a bit of his insight from the inside.

The former goalie coach in Montreal and Chicago doesn't seem to mind what he says behind the microphone and that's good to hear!

Yesterday, he was on 98.5 FM with Mario Langlois and he unveiled his list of players who should leave soon. Before that, he gave his approval to a rebuild: "For a couple more years, why not? Why not if we can build the right way? Ottawa is a team I've seen lately. I saw three full games of the Senators last week and they are a great example of a team with character. They are heading in the right direction. It's going to take a few more years to make the playoffs. It's very difficult to make the playoffs in the National Hockey League."

That being said, he gave 3 names among the team's veterans that he thinks should leave: Jonathan Drouin, Jeff Petry and Mike Hoffman!

Since the arrival of Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes, we talk about the profile of the real players of the Canadiens. These three guys stand out and none of them are used to great performances. These are players who have no grit in them as they say.

Tyler Toffoli fits in there as well. We like him as a player, but the team's new identity doesn't seem to point to that type of guy.

During the same interview, host Mario Langlois took the opportunity to mention that there would be some interest from Ottawa for Canadiens assets. It seems that Pierre Dorion is very much around the Montreal team!
