Phillip Danault is perfectly happy in Los Angeles. A good salary, sun and beaches. And us, nothing goes well in Montreal with the miserable season.

According to insider Elliotte Friedman, he revealed in his podcast 32 Thoughts, that the Kings would be interested again in a Canadiens' forward!

This time, it's Tyler Toffoli they're targeting!

The 29-year-old forward started his career with the Los Angeles Kings and even won a Stanley Cup with them.

The California team is currently in a wave of rejuvenation, but with the success they are having this season, they are third in the Pacific, it makes sense for them to want to accelerate the process.

Tyler Toffoli scores an average of 20 goals per season and his $4.25M contract is still valid for two more seasons. His profile is therefore very interesting for all those who are looking for some punch to complete a top 6.

The Kings have just over a million dollars available under the salary cap. They have their first and second round picks for the next two seasons and have an interesting prospect bank that includes Quinton Byfield, Brandt Clark, Alex Turcotte, Gabe Vilardi, Helge Grans and Rasmus Kupari among others. Scott Wheeler of The Athletic ranks the organization as the second best prospect bank in the NHL.
