Cayden Primeau seems to be about to break in pieces. The Canadiens are not helping him, he is not helping the team and we feel that he is breaking up and that the pieces could take a long time to put back together.

When you keep looking for options, you eventually find them.

Marc-Antoine Godin of The Athletic suggests that we look for a goalie from the Florida Panthers to finish the season and allow Primeau to play at a lower level.

Unfortunately, in such a situation, the other team's GM is usually waiting for offers. Kent Hughes would have to overpay slightly for his counterpart Bill Zito to give in.

A contract for a contract, so the Canadiens wouldn't be getting too close to the 50-contract limit available and they add a little extra to tip the scale.

Laurent Dauphin and Christopher Gibson will both become unrestricted free agents at the end of this season.

Gibson is a 29-year-old Finnish goaltender who was a 2nd round pick of the Los Angeles Kings in 2011. He is best known in Quebec province for being the goaltender for the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in the QMJHL for four seasons.
