It's for days like this that we exist.

The feverishness, the rumors that circulate faster than our internet can handle, but above all, the feeling that things are finally moving in this moribund team!

After the big news of Dominique Ducharme's dismissal and the hiring of Martin St. Louis to replace him, an important appointment is about to take place.

When will it happen?

Possibly tomorrow!

Who will it be? What? Where?

According to information gathered by insider Marc-Olivier Beaudouin, the Montreal Canadiens could announce tomorrow the hiring of Vincent Lecavalier as assistant general manager.

He would become the new right-hand man of Kent Hughes.

Marc-Olivier Beaudouin was the first to link Martin St. Louis' name to the Montreal Canadiens for the head coaching position.

But why this appointment?

One thing is for sure, it would not come out of nowhere!

Lecavalier and St. Louis were teammates in Tampa Bay. Lecavalier is the brother of Philippe, who is a player agent in the same agency as Kent Hughes. And it was Gorton who lured St. Louis with the New York Rangers when he was GM of the team.

All is well as they say!
