Things have been going well for the Montreal Canadiens since Carey Price returned to the lineup. Shortly after their third straight win, a 2-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night, the team announced that they have recalled forward Daniel Carr from the Laval Rocket.
This could be a sign that Charles Hudon’s injury is more serious than first expected. Hudon blocked a shot with his foot and had to head to the locker room. Although he did return to the ice later in the contest, the team might be using precaution on their way to Detroit.
Carr has been dominating the AHL scene down in Laval with 11 goals and 18 points in 19 games. He has 56 games of NHL experience so he should have no problems getting plugged into the lineup versus the Red Wings if need be.
