For the past two seasons, former Montreal Canadiens' forward Brandon Prust has tried to land a job in the NHL, but despite PTO's from both the Toronto Maple Leafs last year at training camp and another PTO from the Los Angeles Kings this year, he's been playing hockey in Europe.
Last year, Prust spent the full season in Europe as he played in Germany, but this year he decided to stay in Canada. That being said, Prust announced on Instagram that he just started new job as he's now part of the OHL's London Knights' coaching staff..
The 33 year old wore the prestigious London Knights' jersey between 2002 and 2005 and had even put up a season of 52 points in 64 games in 2003-2004.
It will be interesting to see if this new job will indicate that Prust is now leaning towards retirement from the NHL since he's now 33 years old and he is nothing more than a slow fourth liner.
